Seamgen
Role: UX Design Intern | Time: Three Months | Tools: Figma, Google Workspace, Jira, Adobe Photoshop

Overview
During my 3-month UX Design internship at Seamgen, I collaborated closely with developers and designers to tackle various UX challenges. My role involved refining user interfaces to create intuitive, user-centered designs, while also contributing to marketing visuals to ensure brand consistency. This experience deepened my understanding of how to balance creativity with functionality, preparing me to deliver solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.
Homepage Slider
Reimagining the Homepage Experience
One of the tasks I was assigned during my internship at Seamgen was to redesign the homepage and iterate off of a previously designed image slider. The goal was to better showcase our past client work and create a more dynamic and immersive experience. I believe that this redesign enhances both the visual impact and the overall interaction for users.
Service Pages
Revamping the Service Pages
Another project I was responsible for at Seamgen involved revamping several service pages on our website. To better align these pages with the overall site design and improve accessibility for potential clients, we focused on updating their appearance and functionality. The redesign aimed to create a more aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly experience, ensuring that our services are effectively communicated.
Automotive App Development
One of the service pages I worked on during my internship at Seamgen was dedicated to automotive app development. The goal was to effectively communicate the benefits of automotive apps and highlight Seamgen’s expertise in this area. By redesigning the page, I aimed to showcase our knowledge and capabilities while instilling confidence in potential clients. The updated design not only emphasizes the advantages of automotive apps but also reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions for our clients’ needs.
Government Services
For this project, I worked very closely with my lead to update the government services page to better align with the design needs of typical government projects. Recognizing that government sites often use light mode, we transitioned this page from dark mode and integrated patriotic imagery to capture a government feel. We also added a calendar feature to facilitate easy scheduling of meetings with our CEO. This redesign was aimed at enhancing our presentation and attracting more government clients.
New Service Pages
Another project I worked on involved creating a versatile service page template to showcase the variety of services we offer. This template was designed to be flexible, allowing us to highlight different aspects such as service benefits, solutions to specific problems, and our unique approach to each service. By standardizing the layout while accommodating tailored content, we aimed to improve user experience, attract new clients, and effectively demonstrate our expertise. The goal was to create a reliable framework that builds client confidence and effectively communicates our value.
LinkedIn Cover Images
Elevating Seamgen's LinkedIn Presence
During my time at Seamgen, I also was responsible for creating a LinkedIn cover and banner image for both Seamgen’s company page and the CEO’s personal profile. The goal was to enhance our online presence by designing visually engaging graphics that reflect our brand identity. These images were tailored to present a cohesive and professional look, helping to strengthen our digital footprint and make a positive impact on our audience.
Iterations in Action
This section shows some of the many iterations I developed while refining the design in order to arrive at the final choice. Key considerations included making sure that visitors would immediately understand what Seamgen does, adhering to branding guidelines, and incorporating a tagline. As the design progressed, we added the requirement to feature logos of companies and programs that Seamgen works with closely, further strengthening the design’s relevance and impact.

The Final Design Choice
We felt this final design met all of our criteria while also highlighting Seamgen’s focus on custom software development. It not only conveyed our message effectively but also looked visually appealing, resulting in a strong and polished representation of the company.
